(an independent franchise)
We survived our sixth Free Cone Day, scooped 4114 cones and raised $883 in one day.
Many of our customers have been concerned over these last months about our future in
this building due to downtown development.  They have asked if they could write letters
or help us in any small way.  The answer is yes, we need the communities' financial help to
survive losing summer revenue.  We will be accepting donations to hopefully insure that
we return for years to come.  DURING th
e much anticipated Kirkland summer, there are
plans for our building to be remodeled as part of a new project, at which time
our
building will need to be completely vacated for 3-6 months.
 We strongly support the
project &
well reasoned downtown development, and anticipate a bright future in the new
Lake Street Place.  To support our business during the remodel/restructure of our
building, your generous donations will help us to land on our feet.

This is a challenging time for all downtown businesses, we urge you to patronize all
businesses for as long as they remain. Many Kirkland residents believe that the delays and
the appeal of the McLeod project are to our benefit. To the contrary, there is nothing that
harms a small business more than conjecture, rumor and speculation. A business needs to
plan, it needs a set time line, reliable information on which to form sound decisions.  We
urge you to stand by the downtown businesses in this time of great transition.

Donations can be made at the Shop (176 Lake St) or at the downtown WA Mutual,
checks payable to "Ben & Jerry's Fund".

Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated and we value the ongoing support of the
community.

After the June 3rd appeal (assuming there is a decision) we will keep our customers
apprised of our move out date and hopefully our re-open date.
